Deliverance Church International was founded in September 1998, born out of a divine calling and under the faithful leadership of Apostle S.L. Carney, who serves as the founding pastor, and Co-pastor Doris Carney, who has been a guiding force in the church’s growth. The name 'Deliverance' was thoughtfully suggested by First Lady Doris Carney, embodying the core mission of the church to bring spiritual healing, deliverance, and freedom to all who come seeking God’s transformative power. From its inception, Deliverance Church has been dedicated to empowering individuals to overcome challenges and live a victorious life through faith in Jesus Christ. Through the ministry of the Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the church continues to grow and impact lives both locally and beyond

The very first service of Deliverance Church was held in the Carney family home in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, where a small but passionate group gathered to worship and seek God’s presence. As the church began to grow, the services soon outgrew the space of their home, and the need for a larger venue became clear. Recognizing the growth and God's hand in the church’s expansion, Deliverance Church moved to a community building in Fuquay-Varina, where they were able to accommodate a larger congregation. However, as God's vision continued to unfold, the church soon outgrew that space as well, prompting another move—this time to a storefront on Main Street in Fuquay-Varina. Each step of the way, God’s faithfulness and provision were evident. Finally, on January 1st, 1994, God’s vision was fully realized in the form of Deliverance Church's current place of worship in Coats, North Carolina. This marked a significant milestone in the journey of the church, a place where the congregation could come together to grow, serve, and be empowered by God’s Word.

Over the years, many individuals have experienced transformation, deliverance, and freedom through the powerful work of this Harvest Time Ministry. We have witnessed lives being restored, hearts healed, and souls set free as we continue to serve with love and compassion. As we look to the future, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the new direction God is leading us toward. We believe that through the ministry of the Word and a heartfelt, caring approach to those we serve, God will continue to do incredible things in our community and beyond. Our commitment to spreading His love and truth remains steadfast as we move forward with faith and purpose.
